Even the orders of the Speaker are subjected to judicial review

The Supreme Court of India clarified that under article 136, any orders of any court or tribunal can be subjected to Judicial review. The constitution of India confers quasi judicial powers to the Speaker of Assembly and hence the orders passed by him are subjected to review. The Honourable Supreme Court of India in its judgment against the orders passed by Speaker disqualifying the independent MLAs in Karnataka Assembly
